Lena and B&T

Lena finally came to Hong Kong, we haven't seen each other already a year! Time just flies so fast, but she didn't change much at all, except her funny german accent. I haven't never hear her speaking English to me with such an obvious german accent, couldn't stop giggling coz she's just so cute, but she was embarrassed for a silly reason - because it's so germannnn. pffff.... :p

Anyway, she stayed in my place for a few days, and I took her to many places, The Peak, Lan Kwai Fong, Ocean Park and even to visit my grandpa's grave! Apparently, we both like cementary, so seeing the chinese temple and my grandpa has became one of the greatest part of this trip. Seriously, it just wasn't that scary.

Few days fun and a big goodbye.

But the other week Tiani and her hubby Brendan came for a visit. I have to fly, so we could only catch up one day, but it was fun enough, we drank in some local pub in Tsim Sha Tsui. I have never thought it could be so much fun drinking with them, we had so many great topic to talk, we joked a lot and god I just wish that nite could be a bit longer.

We have also planned to do some music business together, but it's just too early to say right now. I wish it can come true tho. :)

P.S. picture will be uploaded later on.

Strike Against Finnair

I have heard about the rumor of strike from so many finnair cabin crew quite a while, can't believe it has become true today, this morning. I was suppose to fly this morning, was already stuggling, since one of my finnish crew Johanna had told me that the strike is very likely to be on thursday.

It was a mess when I arrived the airport, all the ground staff were on the phone and checking computer and so on. Most of the passengers have already left and go for another airline, from 200 people down to 40 people. Rachel is my partner today, and she was a bit worried too.

Finally the Finnish crews showed up, and they decided to fly back to Finland, because there's still 40 min fro the strike, and I think it's pretty much they wanna stay at home for the strike. So they are all ready to go, but then I started to hesitate. I said I need to back home by Saturday, because I have a doctor appointment, plus Lena my german friend is coming to Hong Kong and I need to pick her up. (the later reason was omitted in front of the purser) So I decided to report sick.

Back to the reason of the strike, it's held by the union who support the airline workers. The company wanna slash down 30% of the flight attendant salary (which is like a xmas big sale!) and move them to their sub-airline in estonia - Aero, which has worse working condition and more harsh work. It's very obvious that no one would like it, since they started off with a better working condition, to the extent, this change has no benefit to the workers whatsoever, no wonder the strike is on. The company lost appoximately 250million euro for one day strike, now imagine that.

I'm so glad that I didn't fly this morning, I was told that they are now forcing all the asian crews fly most of the leisure flight and domestic flight. What's worse is they all dunno when to come back home... far out, i wish them luck!!! And for me, it doesn't really matter because I'm quiting in the end ofthis month. bye bye!
