In The Backseat

It's been a while to write something up here, why? I'm just being slack. Probably because I was quite busy and uninteresting, I just wanna leave this blog out for a while and do something else. So besides playing Final Fantasy XII and watching TV series, movies & you tube. I caught up with some old friends that I haven't seen for a while, also met up with some finnish colleagues who I flew with.

One thing I found it's funny about meeting up with my Finns friends, I feel like being a guest more than a host, they were the one who TOOK me out eating, in a very fancy Indian restaurant with a fantastic habor view, then after a few drinks, they taxied me to their hotel and we watched the world cup together, and they spared a hotel room for me to stay overnight. I feel more like a tourist than they do, but it was very nice to hang out with them, lovely people.

Talking about world cup, I'm sure most of you know how sad I was to see France, but that missed penalty shot was so close to get in, very unlucky. Right now, the most controversial topic would be Why did Zidane head-butt Materazzi, lip reader claims that Materazzi insult Zidane as a dirty terrorist. Actually for the moment when the headbutt happened, everyone knows it's Materazzi provoked Zidane with some very very bad words. Whatever he said, he deserved that headbutt, even though it's apparently wrong.

Not gonna dwell much on that, moving on.

Let's talk about Miranda July's "Me and You and Everyone We Know" again, have I talk about it before? I can't rememberm but I have been re-watching it again and again, last time I did was few days ago with some friends. One of my friends was the first one who opened her mouth saying this film is gross and disgusting and boring, I personally love this film very much because I don't see it in the way she sees it. I see "Me and You" as a film to depict how people get lonely in isolation by themselves or by others; how people try to react out and express themselves to make connections, regardless whether it has any feedback or not. Every character has their own complex life, they are so real that it seems you can see someone like them across the street. None of the scene is redundant, because they are building on one and each other. Even the scene where the little kid says "I wanna poop in your butthole and you poop into mine, back and forth, forever." ,aka ))<<>>((, it is a very meanful scene despite my friend said it was nasty. Take a step back, I think it was just a child's mind about how sex (poop back & forth) and love ( forever) is. There are so many scenes are very touching, the goldfish, the low ankle, the iceland, the special t-shirt, the art project with the old men, "the bird in the tree" in the tree...etc. This film has so many things to digest, if you think it's boring, you were probably not really watching it.

I try to avoid the word "shal**w" here, if you know what i mean.

you know, the situation here is really like people wearing those wristbands for a look instead of the meaning behind the cancer project/ making difference for poverty...etc. A thing is not what it is if you don't know/care the meaning behind, it's just nothing.
